Deciding to be good seniors, we met up with the biochem juniors to offer them help n advice. 2nd years were obviously the more kiasu ones still trying to decide on their 3rd yr options. Didn't realize there were actually 3-4 singaporeans in 2nd year, started to notice them in the comp room thereafter though.
The next 4 weeks of fyp started to have its toll on many of us as we faced with many difficulties in our labs: both experimental and lab politics. These problems ended up as late nights and weekends spent in labs. I guess it turned out to be a good thing as I started to gel more with the other biochemists besides the Singaporeans. There was Sarah, Jamela and me from Kenji's lab as we gossiped every interval of our westerns on lvl 4, and Kavi, Lionel, Sebastian in the computer room on lvl 3 all busy typing our lab reports and complaining about the word count.
It sure was a tiring 6 weeks, kind of nostalgic that it has all ended, but a welcome break indeed. And so we had a nice lunch in a restaurant at covent garden to summarize our 3 yrs in London as most of them return back to Singapore to start work.
But not before celebrating my birthday with a strawberry cream cake from Paul. =)
