Construction of recombinant proteins involved in pain pathway
Specific genes expressed in sensory neurons will be subcloned into bacterial expression vectors to generate large amount of protein with specific tag sequence. The protein produced in bacterial cells will be purified using specific columns which recognize the tag. Such proteins will be subjected to crystallography in the future.
