18th-19th March marked the conclusion of the water polo season for this year. It is nice to be back at the finals again, both men and women team. The atmosphere was great, with all the supporters for the various colleges cheering their teams on. Cardiff, as usual, made the most ruckus and got told off by the refs.

We lost to Loughborough, the eventual champion, 5-4 and lost to Cardiff 14-12. So close yet so far, seems we do have a problem maintaining our calm for the whole game. Eventually, we succumbed to Manchester 9-5 in our final match for the year. I got wrapped 2 out of 3 games which isn't sth to be proud of. Grrr...

The all-star mens team again made their presence felt, winning Cardiff and Manchester easily. There came a nail-biting moment when they went down to Bristol 2 goals in the 1st quarter, but climbed back steadily to win a well-deserved match. So BUSA champions again to the guys, 2x in a row.
A weekend of antics from a mad greek goalkeeper(from Cardiff), controversial referee calls, some horrific raspberrry blowing competition later, the University of London Water Polo team came out victorious (girls as much a winner as the mens), bringing the whole train carriage down with our singing and ruckus all the way back to London.
