I was stumped. Why on earth would she bring lilo from 'lilo & stitch' for me. Maybe it was part of my xmas present, but she had already given me one the day before...so that can't be it.
And homous? That really sounds offensive, after all, being somewhat related to the spelling and pronounciation of 'humus'!!
Then it kind of struck me what all that means...
Houmous: A Greek-style dip made with freshly cooked Chick Peas and Sesame Seed Paste
It didn't strike me that homous was actually a fresh dip, no wonder I couldn't find it in Sainsburys cos I was looking at the wrong section! D-U-H!
lilo: it actually means 'lie low', bryony's inflatable air bed!!!
I definitely have more to catch up on British terminology!!!
