miscellaneous thoughts

new song - 'you yong' from the movie 'pao ba hai zi'. and it goes sth like this '...ye mei you qing yi de di tou...ye mei you fang qi de nian tou...'yup yup..perservere indeed we will.

firstly, there's the sing soc major event coming up this sat. really impressed by the amount of planning the committee has put into it..hope it all goes smoothly. do spare some time to take a look at the website (done up by kai leng) if you can:

secondly, beeg exam coming up next friday. been trying to study for it but alas, don't seem to be putting enough productive work...fear for the warning letter to come...plus the pressing fact that only 10 pple get first class honours in the whole cohort....*stress*...but surprisingly, seem to be quite free still...oh no...wat am i doing!!!! must press on....only abt 1 week more...grrr

thirdly, the issue of playing polo. generally, pple seem to stop their ccas after leaving college...and for the rest of us who still pursue polo...it's prob the passion that keeps us going...many pple have asked us why we're still playing polo..and for me, away in a foreign land, it's so easy to just shake off the sport and carry on with life....well well...did you know that the life span of a polo player lasts up to the thirties? think that's our dream at least for most of the pioneer batch of players. to continue to play as long as our bodies hold out. commitment my friend. it hasn't been an easy road at all. trying to increase the awareness of women's polo in singapore. the girls back home are still working their butts off to organise recruitment drives, trying to get recognition from organisations. the least i could do is to continue training and not let them down. and seeing how the women teams here put in as much effort, i strongly believe that there is a future for us. jia you, my friends!
