We are through to the finals!
UL vs Loughborough: 5 - 10
UL vs Newcastle: 9 - 7
UL vs Manchester: 8 - 6
We lost our first game to Loughborough having been 3-0 up in the first quarter. Were probably lacking concentration and stamina towards the end and a couple of very unlucky goals. Will be facing them again in the finals next round and will want to beat them then.
Aggravated my shoulder injury in the game against Newcastle which impaired me very much and was clearly in pain throughout. Even now, one week past, it hasn't improved. Clearly going to be a chronic injury. =(
The girls really came together and put in their best effort in the deciding match against Manchester. Nothing is more gratifying than to see everyone contribute in the game and it was just emotional at the end when we held out to win.
Looking forward to get a medal next week!
