Babel

Ba·bel Pronunciation[bey-buhl, bab-uhl–noun (from dictionary.com)
1. an ancient city in the land of Shinar in which the building of a tower (Tower of Babel) intended to reach heaven was begun and the confusion of the language of the people took place. Gen. 11:4–9.
2. (usually lowercase) a confused mixture of sounds or voices.

Unfortunately, we didn't manage to watch the show last night and heard a whole lot of babel instead. Apparently the 'tape' was spoilt and kept giving out funny static noises. We got refunded tickets to watch any movie at any odeon but what we really wanted was to watch babel. boo. Thus started a string of bad luck for me. sprained my ankle getting off the bus and had to ice it throughout the night. Hobbled in to college and realized that the back door to an adjoining building where my meeting to be held was locked and had to hobble round the whole of college. Tried to make curry puff, fumbled with the measuring, crust came out flaky and too sweet and now my whole room smells of oil! Grr.
