Prem's Last Day in London - Friday 13th October

To 'celebrate' Prem's end of exam and last day in London, we(Bryony, Zhe Wei and me) decided to cook for him in his spanking clean service apartment at Canary Wharf! and his intention was to 'trash' the place without having to clean up and feel guilty about it.

Canary Wharf is like a city of lights at night. The skyscrapers of London (i.e. about 50-60 storeys maximum) seemed to be radiating light (due to the number of traders working overtime in their offices on a friday night). I would say that it's the most well-litted part of London definitely. As the main banking hub, it's no wonder why ZW said he could almost smell the money wherever he walked.

Because the people who work here apparently have 'no life', this area is pretty self contained with the largest waitrose I've seen (who says the one at the brunswick is big). Bryony introduced us to some belgium fruit beers and a french grape aperitif amongst the large range of alcohol on display at waitrose and she taught us how to make sponge pudding from scratch in minutes! Pretty good dessert recipe =).

Post-dinner entertainment included games yet again: whatever next(with forfeits like 'pretend u are a bee gathering pollen'), rapidol(like cherades but having to mould out words from play-doh)...and we also caught a glimpse of the late-night partying/binge-drinking of investment bankers and traders(complete with expensive wine and cake)-wicked.

Prem says to come to Canary Wharf again in the day to see all the nice cars the people there drive. Although I think I may go back there soon for some ice-skating action or for some early morning fishmongering experience instead.
