First, we found our way to Kajang, made famous cos of their satay. The main store closes at 130am and we arrived just a little too late, so had to make do with the 24hr coffee shop instead, but surprisingly good still.
Next stop Ipoh. Another 2 hr drive to the city and half an hour trying to find our way to the right dim sum restaurant. The food sure did not let us down. Loved the carrot cake and sesame paste. Abstolutely delicious. So satisfying. =)
A parking summon wasn't about to dampen our moods. Break for refreshing fruit juice.
In between meals, we were travelling mainly.
Companions on the trip: Val had a ball with purchasing sunglasses, Net was engrossed in sudoku, and Jac must have slept too much that's why got stiff muscles in the wrong place!
Not only is the food good, but msia's steeped in culture too. Much more authentic feel than Singapore does but way too filthy(esp the toilets!) for my liking.
Stopped by Petaling Street i.e. Chinatown for supper. Sambal is really sambal..... Spicy to the max! Perspire still must eat!
Made it to Steven's Corner for more food despite being stuffed! My first time eating tissue. Sweet. Bagus!
Another one of my favs! Dry Beef Noodles! *salivating* the minced beef is in a league of its own definitely. Highly recommended!
Despite warnings to stay away from roadside stalls, who can resist the charming chendol uncle who insists you eat first before paying and of course his mouth-watering concoction of chendol with pulut(glutinous rice).
and ROJAK! I think the number of people who stopped along the road to indulge in this pungent smelling dish is testimony enough of its standards.
Finished off with dinner at Cheras. Got diarrhoea also must eat!
All in all, great food experience! Didn't get too lost thankfully. But even if we did, all u have to do is just stop at any restaurant/coffee shop and u are sure to find good food! Still have more food on the list that I've yet to try. Will have to wait for another year before I go back on a food haunt! Can't wait already..thinking of beef noodles!!
