Old Trafford: Home of Manchester United Football Club

That's the stadium empty(left) and full(right). Prob one of the biggest football stadiums around the country especially with the opening of new quadrants. Sunday's match chalked up the biggest ever spectator count ever at ~70,000+.

Every player gets his limelight with huge posters of each of them all the way into the museum. I'm only showcasing the more popular members of the team now. Apparently, O'Shea and Silvestre are the least popular, even Sir Alex Ferguson is more favoured.

The many trophies and evolution of the crest since they first started out. Alot more stuff is being showcased such as uniforms, the treble, Gary Neville (captain), past players such as Eric Cantona and George Best and also a small section on fans.

Stadium tour was well worth the money, 1hr 15mins long and you get to go into the important rooms and most importantly, see the stadium since tickets to matches are incredibly hard(and expensive) to get. Highly recommended if you are going to Manchester.

That's ZW up in the manager's box, where Sir Alex Ferguson sits chewing gum when he's watching the match. The old tunnel where players used to run out into the field and their luxurious changing room, complete with spa!

Match day is certainly chaotic. >3 hrs before kick off, roadside stalls and makeshift burger joints line the streets leading up to the stadium. Masses of people can be seen streaming in as early as then. Where we stayed and had lunch, there sure were loads of Man U supporters. Everybody's just getting into the atmosphere, having a nice cheeky burger before heading out to Old Trafford. Megastore was teeming with people, and the amount of memorabilia on sale is simply overwhelming. I didn't bother to get much though, cos if you start collecting, you will just want more and my wallet's not prepared to accomodate such spending as yet!

Goal FEAST! Manchester United 4 - Charlton Athletic 0. Great stuff. I sure was in for a treat as I sat there in the stands, constantly entertained by the chanting of the supporters and what was going on in the field (and a short lived partial nakedness of Kieran Richardson). Amazing how there's a cheer for almost every player in the team, and of course cheers to taunt arch rivals Liverpool. Really enjoyed myself that day. Nice to finally get to watch a real match live. Yay!
