Ee-wen, Zhe Wei and me started off one day early in the old historic centre of Porto where the city hall is and people are starting to prepare for the festivities. Portugal on the whole, is well known for its pastries and puffs, so we had a go, but found them too sweet for our liking.
Made a day trip out to the town of Guimaraes, conserved as a heritage centre by UNESCO as the birthplace of Portugal. Overwhelmed by Portugese history, we ended up playing bluff by the fountain and contented ourselves with taking photos n videos.
Tried out traditional Porto food: Francesinhas and Tripas a Noda do Porto at the Guarany restaurant just below our hotel. Good food and good accomodation. Thumbs up!
