1st Anniversary at Ritz - 20th November 2005

So Zhe Wei booked ourselves a place at the Ritz for their famous high tea about 6 weeks ago and he had to 'plead' for a place as this was a special occasion to him. Well, he did good, and we got ourselves the champagne slot at 730pm. Kind of late for high tea, but who cares. We are going to the RitZ!

Dress code: Formal

Yup, we dolled ourselves up for the occasion. Ta-da! That's what you get (above)!

It was dark by the time we reached, but all the better to complement the grandly litted 6* hotel.

With the extra time we had before 'dinner', we took the opportunity to inspect the fine installations of the hotel i.e powder room, mens toilet, and even took 'joyrides' on the lift.

Next, came the highlight of the evening: HIGH TEA @ RITZ! We had to put on our very best etiquette: greeting and thanking the waiters, handling our utensils with 'style', and trying to eat daintily. Yet failing miserably, cos we gave up after a while! haha.

We each selected a tea of our preference from a long list of teas and had it specially brewed for us, accompanied with the pretty sieve that sits nicely on the teacup. We were soon furnished with a 3-tier food plate consisting of sandwiches, scones n fruit cake and a selection of cakes and pastries. yummy! and you could choose which cake you wanted to top up too.

1.5 hours later, we were one satisfied couple, happy for a memorable night out in London.
