okok..shall blog more since i have no school today and it's chinese new year's eve!! woohoo!!! double happiness. yippee!!! heh..slept at like 4am, can't help but wake at 9am...must be the adrenalin rushing through me in anticipation for steamboat later...yay..heh..managed to book the bigger kitchen from the guys on my level..which is so much neater than my all girls' kitchen...heh...hope we don't trigger the fire alarm later tonight...!

well...first 1 1/2 weeks of sch has whizzed past...slightly more hectic than last term, but hectic is good. pushes me to work more. and get my act going....big exam abt one month away...should really start...then again..why not after cny? haha...act of procrastination...yes yes...

also, i want to stress that the internet chats are still very much a viable means of communication. msn, icq. yes..especially when you are far away in a foreign land. it is the tool to bridging and ensuring lasting relationships. still remember my euphoria when i first got reconnected again....was icq, msn first, then email....what do i noe...soon, i was chatting with my bro, mum, frens in s'pore, frens overseas, and frens in london...what was meant to be a 3 hr break ended up as a 3hr 'let's catch up with each other' session. that's why i always treasure my 3 hr lunch break and make it a point to come back to hall and go online then. =) you never know what healing powers these interactions have on my home-deprived soul.

of course, it being the festive season now...it's time to celebrate and be merry! no time to wallow and lament on missing cny back home, just got to learn to make do. true, i do miss home, will be missing the reunion dinner, the gatherings, the ang pows...the goodies....mabbe even the songs...*dong dong dong qiang*...BUT....we've got a really packed week here too...despite sch as usual, we will be trying to model the singaporean style of celebrating cny....had our own share of trying to return debts before cny, cleaned up and packed my room...da shao chu...steamboat reunion dinner...ang pow with choc coins(no pounds sadly)...goodies from s'pore (got kueh bangkit thanks to kaileng!!!! *gRins*), probably going round with mandarins..and plans to soak in the cny atmosphere at chinatown this wkend...chinatown promises to be a big bang...with students from imperial college doing the lion dance as well as setting up food stalls. *rubs palms in glee*...hehe...
