yAy!!! met pRisciLLa and xiuLiNg who are on holiday in uk today!!

meeting priscilla = more stuff from my mum...heh...which turned out to be quite alot of stuff..heh...got my long johns so i won't be cold anymore + unexpected leather gloves -cool-! more food: sauces, chinese noodles, tea leaves, yoghurt maker(haha....ee-wen, enxin, kai and val>>can xiang fu already =)) and even lemon honey (just wat i need for my terribly SORE throat now) and i got my earrings!! though i didn't get my fav starfish one..nevertheless, it's still a yellow star..heh...shall resolve not to wear earrings to trainings anymore....overall: SATISFIED and i recieved a christmas card written by my mum and brothers....sooooo sWeeeeT!!! *hao gan dong wo* it's pinned up on my notice board already...thank you!!

of cos..must thank pris and xiuling too for lugging such a heavy plastic bag ard...from heathrow to stratford and from stratford to gloucester in the crowded tube...=) i had no lessons today at all so i met pris and xiuling at 930am....we went to the natural history museum which is in one word, huge. we went into the new darwin centre and saw many specimens in enclosed glass bottles...quite disgusting..they had like python, birds, bats, lizards, starfishes and alot of eh...i dunno wat..cos they were all named by their genus...so we cldn't tell wat they were...contrary to wat you think, no..i didn't really enjoy that part of the museum...we went on to the mineral section..and there are like soooo many rows of minerals...we only ended up looking at the first 5..and passing the rest until the last section on meteorite rocks...must practice selective viewing...it's really impossible to finish touring the museum in one day. next, went on to view a photo gallery:earth from the air...very pretty pictures....heh..and we realized that there's always at least one man in red in the photo..cos he was the photographer's assistant and he was there to give us a comparison of the magnitude of for example a glacier to a human...interesting point there...

went for all day breakfast together with raymond who used to do research with xiuling and marvin at ibm...quite fun...regaled with stories from dearest 'auntie' raymond...heh...haha...and i found out from xiuling that they used to call raymond and marvin B & G (beng and gay..haha..guess why)...and xiuling always refers to them as 'ni men yi ge liang ge' haha..very fuunny

went back to sch cos raymond had prac...brought them ard...they actually like our sch!! wow... anyway..next was 4 hours packed with walking and sightseeing....we actually covered quite a big area of london...from hyde park to green park to buckingham palace, to big ben, london eye, westminster abbey (we actually went inside, eh...the architectrue is simply overwhelming, the amount of statues and monuments are countless...and there are many grave stones on the ground and we are suspecting that people were actually buried under these stones which got us all quite paranoid on walking on them...), trafalgar square, national portrait gallery, leicester square and finally picadilly circus. xiuling and priscilla were surprisingly not tired at all despite touching down the previous evening and all that physical exercise...they even suggested that running in london will make a good past-time...*in shock*

met up with kai leng, ee-wen and enxin to go for the christian union's carol service together. val joined us later and we managed to trick her into thinking that xiuling and priscilla are actually nus exchange students here for 11/2 weeks...haha..and she fell for it...so did hanwen later..hehe...so gullible....hehe...anyway..carol service was not bad at all....there were quite alot of singaporeans in the choir...and also my cell grp members although sometimes their voices were drowned out by the band...thought the speaker was amusing..not bad at all...thoroughly enjoyed it and we got a nice book on the gospel of john...cool =)

hurried back to bernard sunley to cook up a dinner for xiuling and pris..heh..to let them get a taste of hall life...ended off with a great dessert of apple pie and ben and jerry's ice cream yet again =)

all in all, it has been an eventful day....meeting up with friends from singapore, touring london (i must say, i'm pretty good at the map of central london now =)), hearing the word of God and finding out the true meaning of Christmas...
