i really have no idea why i spend so much time on my lab reports and essay..yet they still turn out sub-std...Hai~...and presentation on friday was simply horrible...just so happened that the pHD student marking me studied bioinformatics as his specialist subject...siGh....
however, the week was bearable with the inclusion of the match agst GKT as well as val's bday celebration. ee-wen, enxin and me tried to bake a white chocolate cheesecake and a milk chocolate cheesecake. the oven in fisher hall really sucks....took us 2 hours to bake one cake and it got burnt at the edges....we only took half an hour in bernard sunley..! heh...it was really funny cos we tricked val that we spoilt the cake by adding too much water so it didn't turn out in the end...heh....and surprisingly val fell for it although enxin ee-wen and me were such lousy actors..hehe.
AND....to celebrate the end of the school week...i went 'marketing' at sainsbury on friday and saturday!! haha...sainsbury is turning out to be my fav hangout place men... bought four tubs of ben and jerry's in all, cos 2 tubs for 4quid!! heh..prob won't be able to do that in singapore...kai leng, ee-wen, enxin and val had dinner in my kitchen that night...and we finished two tubs!!! i think this ice-cream thing was sparked off by the last dsta outing we had....very satisfying...yet terribly 'sinful'!! then we hung ard talking GIRL STUFF in my room for another 2 hrs or so...heh..quite fun...*giggles*
oh..and i have been pigging out!!!!! wat to do when you are so piled with work...juz keep eating biscuits and chocs...terrible....plus i was loading myself with carbo the past few days in preparation for round 1 of BUSA today...and i have been having at least one alcoholic drink a day for like 4 days in a row!!! (haha..tchien>>are u impressed?) but that's cos the polo players usually take a drink after training....yup...
ROUND 1 of BUSA (British Universities Sports Association) was today!!! we played oxford and bath today in 2 consecutive matches!! result:WE MADE IT THROUGH!!! yAy!! we won oxford 7-3 but we lost to bath 9-4. i had to play goalie for 3 quarters of the oxford match (where i let in the 3 goals...oops...the last one was unforgiveable...was stoning when the ball came flying in...oOps yet again) and player for the last quarter and the whole of the bath match....
bath is really good cos they've got like 3-4 very fast swimmers on the team..so they are always going fo the counter...i had to swim for the ball for like 3 quarters and i kept losing the ball..hmm...mabbe cos i was swimming head down for too long..once i was not swimming straight and the other i reached the center without knowing..haha...my my..how terrible of me...anyway...i was asked to mark this girl who's apparently the leader of the pack....cos she kept giving instructions..sth like xian hui (of the msia team we played in jun)...and she's really bitchy you noe....it's like she pulls my costume and guards me like super tight...like centreman like that even on the arch...and i dun complain...yet when i juz put one hand on her shoulder she gives me dirty looks and says that i'm pulling her...wat nonsense..bleah...and there was once she was playing with my team captain leanne and she started shouting 'this bitch is pulling me!'..and leanne really wasn't doing anything...so leanne told her 'don't lie!'...haha..well done...
anyhow...it was a good match...oh..and u noe wat...i lobbed from like 5m and it went in!!! haha..amazing..=p...yay...and i actually managed to score from the centre today! achievement for the day!....anyway...the strategy that my team adopts is that you set your own personal goals for the match..if you make it, it's a game well played on your part...like if you are the first 7...duty is to score...while the rest...their duty is to defend and prevent goals.....
ooh...i have never played so much in one day before....i'm surprised my costume is not torn...got pulled everywhere..was really afraid that the zip was going to break at one point in time....luckily i didn't get scratched today though...i've still got a scratch mark on my leg since the last game i played agst cambridge...am totally EXHAUSTED now.....my arms are aching, my back feels like it's on the verge of collapsing....but the games today were well worth the pain....
just had a very filling dinner at leicester square with ee-wen, val and enxin...actually we wanted to walk ard after dinner..but it was FREEZING COLD such that we cldn't last out there for even 5 min...practiacally half running to the tube station...can't believe it's going to get even colder than this......*shiver*
am going to retire to bed and rest my fatigued frame....
